Quin Designs was officially launched in april of 2007 by Quin Matteson. Quin's interest in graphic design began at the age of 12, while sitting in on college computer graphic art classes with her mother. Quin went on to major in photography at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where she learned the basics of web design. Moving to Austin in 2003, she and two partners opened Iron Gate Studios, an Eastside art gallery and studio space. With her previous experience and interest in design, she was the graphic designer and web developer for Iron Gate. During this time that she was able to acheive a greater understanding of the industry, and the complexity and beauty of the graphic arts. Now, with almost 5 years of design experience, Quin has embraced life as a freelance graphic and web designer.
